I am a Knowledge Manager at the public health department of the Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES – Österreichische Agentur für Gesundheit und Ernährungssicherheit GmbH). My activities include the daily situation update on COVID-19 and literature research on emerging public health topics for different stakeholders. Furthermore, I work on projects for the climate change target group and heat-mortality monitoring.
Before that, I completed a doctorate in Social Ecology from the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico in Mexico City, including a research stay at Nagoya University in Japan. I also hold an MA in Latin American Studies and Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Vienna. My research interests revolve around climate change and health, cultural ecosystem services, and landscape management.
